UBG is the brand name used to express Union Bank Ghana Limited. The Bank, the first to be licensed by Act 1994 (Act 572) commenced operations in January 1996 with an initial capitalisation of US $820 million, far in ecess of the minimum required by the Bank of Ghana.

We are driven by a broard of directors, a management team and staff who are focused on helping us achieve our mission of democratising banking Ghana.

With our Head Office in Accra, Ghana capital, we are active players in both the public and private sectors; particularly in the retail market. We support individuals small and medium sized enterprise, multinationals and other leading indigenous companies.

UBG was intially incorporated on June 13, 1993. UBG is registered as a Ghanaian company with a mix of Ghanaian, Americans and Asians shareholders.

We aim to democratise the finance services by making finance services and products widely and easily accessible to all. irrespective of geographic location and socio-economic status. Thus we seek to bring finance services to the broad masses of the population and make it a basic entitlement of all.
